Hey guys!
Before I start this tag I just want to talk a little bit about my new posting schedule. Because school has started up again, I’m going to have less time to post then I did in the summer. I’m also trying to balance writing my book, which takes out 2 hours of my day. I’m going to start posting 3 times a week on this blog, instead of four or five like I did over the summer.
I was tagged for this tag by the lovely Adoptabookaus. Thank you so much! You all should check out her gorgeous blog!
Let’s get into the tag!
1. Have you ever damaged a book?
Never on purpose! I have dropped books in the bath before, but not recently. Ok, I did drop a bookmark in accidentally the other day, but my book survived.
2. Have you ever damaged a borrowed book?
Nope!! Never have, never will.
3. How long does it take you to read a book?
Not too long! A few days, at most. Unless I’m on vacation, then I read constantly and can finish a book in a few hours.
4. Books that you haven’t finished?
Divergent by Veronica Roth, City of Bones by Cassandra Clare, The Program by Suzanne Young, The Square Root of Summer but Harriet Reuter Hapgood, Bone Gap by Laura Ruby. In total I’ve DNF’d 11 books, and these are just a few.
5. Hyped/popular books you didn’t like only thought were OK?
There are a lot, a few of which were mentioned above. Divergent by Veronica Roth, City of Bones by Cassandra Clare, Red Queen by Victoria Aveyard, The Perks of Being a Wallflower by Stephen Chbotsky. Don’t get offended if any of these are your favorites, we’re all entitled to our own opinions and I’m glad you liked them more than I did!
6. Is there a book you wouldn’t tell anyone you were reading?
Nope! I’m not ashamed of the books I read and I love talking about them with people. You never know who might like the same books as you!
7. How many books do you own?
I just counted 182 books on my bookshelf at my mom’s but I also have a bookshelf at my dad’s. So probably like 250! You can tell that I’m kind of addicted to buying books.
8. Are you a fast or slow reader?
Fast! A few weeks ago on vacation I read a book every day for a week, lol!
9. Do you like to buddy read?
I’ve never done one before, but I’d really like to! It sounds really fun. If any of you guys want to buddy read a book with me, let me know in the comments!
10. Do you read better in your head or out loud?
In my head, definitely. I never read out loud, but I do listen to audiobooks a lot!
11. If you were only allowed to own ONE book, what would it be and why?
WHATTT?!? Only one book?! I guess I would have to say Before I Fall by Lauren OLiver. because it’s my all time favorite book.
I’M TAGGING…
Or anyone else who’s interested in this tag!
What are some of your answers to these questions? Let me know in the comments! 🙂
xx,
Sophie
I would love to do a buddy read together! We should hopefully have a book on both of our TBRs. City of bones isn’t the best of books but the series does improve, if you don’t care about spoiling TMI I recommend reading The Infernal Devices it is absolutely amazing and a lot different to City of Bones 😊 Great answers! And dropping books in the bathtub 🙈 poor books! Hahah

Yess! We’re friends on Goodreads, right? I’ll look through your books and find some in common! And yeah, I’ve heard that a lot of people who didn’t like City of Bones liked TMI a lot, so maybe I’ll give that one a try. I’m always open to second chances! 😊

You definitely have to give The Infernal Devices a try! The last book in the trilogy is completely & terribly worth the read but regardless, love your unpopular opinions haha
