Hey guys! Today I’m posting a mini review of The Crown by Kiera Cass! I don’t want to give away any spoilers so that’s why this is a mini review.

“And I want us to find our own thing or maybe find out that our own thing is everything, because I feel like if I have him, even the stupid stuff would matter.”

The last book in The Selection series follows Eadlyn Schreave as she makes her final choice about who she will marry. She’s conflicted and has made a close connection with many of the boys, which she never expected when she started.

The Selection series has been a huge part of my life. It was one of the books that got me really into reading YA. I was visiting my grandfather when I first got a copy of the book, and that night I pretending I couldn’t fall asleep just so I could read it longer! So, it was very sad to finally say goodbye to this series. It is one I definitley will never forget.

This was such a fun book, and I really liked Eadlyn’s point of view (but not as much as America’s). The first book made me think she was a brat, but after re-reading it I found that I liked her a lot more. I think her point of view was a refreshing way to continue the series.

I’m very happy with the ending. Before I started reading I had an idea of who she would end up with, but The Heir definitely left you guessing. Once I got through about 50 pages, it was obvious who she would choose. If you’ve read it, let me know your reactions to her choice in the comments!

  1. I was not at all surprised with who she choose in the end either. I wish Kierra had done a epilogue or something relating more to how the new chances Eadlyn made are working. However, it was still an enjoyable read.
