I didn’t know what to expect going into this book. I knew it had something to do with ballet and Antarctica but the summary didn’t give me a good idea of anything else. This book follows Harper Scott, a girl who’s main goal in life is to become a ballerina for the San Francisco Ballet. She and her best friend Kate have planned their future as ballerinas out– but when something happens between the girls Harper has to create a new one.
That’s how she gets to Antarctica.
This was a touching coming-of-age novel. It’s romantic, relatable and interesting. I empathized with Harper and cheered for her throughout the book. She is an outstanding character with depth and emotion. I would definitely recommend this book.
(I received this book from Random House @ NetGalley in exchange for an honest review)
